Exploring AI-Driven Data Querying and Visualization with KQL and SQL

I recently had the pleasure of presenting at the Nashua Cloud .NET User Group, where I shared insights on AI-Driven Dynamic Data Querying and Visualization with KQL and SQL. The session explored how to harness AI to transform natural language prompts into powerful data queries using tools like GPT-4, Semantic Kernel, and Azure OpenAI. This approach simplifies data interactions, making it accessible to users across various technical levels.

During the presentation, I demonstrated how the AI Query Visualizer can convert prompts like “Show me the page views in the last 24 hours” directly into KQL or SQL queries, allowing seamless data exploration in Log Analytics and CosmosDB. With the power of Azure Speech Service, this tool even supports voice prompts for a hands-free experience.

The recorded session is available on YouTube for those who couldn’t attend. Additionally, the GitHub repository provides the code and detailed instructions for exploring the demo further. The PowerPoint slide deck can be downloaded from SlideShare.
